Meet Matter, from creative to financial boss

There’s no shortage of specialists at Matter. From creative to financial boss: 3 colleagues introduce themselves. Rik-Jan, Sesanne and Sebastiaan each bring their own expertise and passion. As Head of Finance, Rik-Jan provides a solid foundation and vision for the future. As Creative Content & Concept Manager, Sesanne comes up with the most delicious concepts for Allerhande and Gall & Gall, among others. And Sebastiaan, as Content Technology Lead, cleverly uses AI and automation to make content even more effective.

Rik-Jan Reichman

‘Since 2023-2024 I have been involved with Matter on projects. But from 2025 as Head of Finance my focus is on supporting the business and planning for the future. Before joining Matter, I worked a lot in entrepreneurial scale-ups and other agencies. Here, I am impressed with everyone’s talents and skills to create all that great content. That makes it extra fun to work at Matter.

What do you do when you’re not creating spreadsheets for a while?
‘I live with my children (2 sons and a 1 daughter) and my wife on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. There you’ll find me mostly outside on my racing bike and walking our dog.’

Sebastiaan Beterams

As Content Technology Lead I connect content, technology and innovation to create beautiful and effective content. AI and automation gives us many new possibilities, which changes our way of working dramatically. For example, we can automate various processes and tasks such as analyzing and updating published (online) texts. Here we use AI as a tool, the human check and human touch of my colleagues ensures that the article gains depth and stays away from AI superficialities.’

And what do you do when you don’t prompt for a while?
‘I like to experiment with all kinds of tools. But I also like to be in nature, do geocaching and regularly let my drone out.

Sesanne Leeuwenburg

‘Cooking has always been a great passion of mine. Now I get to do that every day in the team of Allerhande and Gall & Gall. As Creative Content & Concept Manager I think up the creative concepts, specials and guides. Lately, for example, I’ve been diving into all kinds of world cuisines and a beer special. Every day is different!

What is your personal favorite recipe?
‘My new favorite recipe from Allerhande is the recipe for Murg makhani (butter chicken) that I got to taste in advance in the text kitchen Discovering, cooking and tasting: a peek into our test kitchen for the International Kitchens special. I’m definitely going to make that one at home for everyone.’
